UCF Daytona Beach nursing instructor Sarah Landreville recently passed the national certification exam administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Landreville earned her MSN degree from UCF’s College of Nursing and is now board-certified by ANCC in mental health nursing. Congratulations to the August 2009 UCF Daytona Beach BSN graduates who achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX). UCF BSN graduates had the highest pass rates on the exam in Florida. UCF Cocoa nursing student Kia Zellner received the Parrish Medical Center Award for Clinical Excellence and Community Partnership. UCF Cocoa nursing student, Gabriella Chaparro, and UCF Daytona Beach nursing student, Binita Patel, received the VITAS Compassionate Heart Award from VITAS Innovative Hospice Care. Dr. Roberta Ergle, instructor of elementary education with the College of Education, received the 2008-09 UCF Teaching Incentive Program Award. She teaches Children's Literature, English Language Arts and supervises interns in the field. Ergle teaches at UCF Ocala and has been a faculty member for over six years. Lynn Becker, instructor UCF Daytona Beach student Jessica Levene graduated in the top 1 percent of her class. Levene, an elementary education major, is one of four students this semester to graduate with honors (4.0 GPA) and invited to sit on the stage during commencement. UCF Daytona Beach student Leanne Wilcox earned first place in the 2009 Student-Juried Student Art Exhibition presented by the General Education Program’s Unifying Theme: Environment and Global Climate Change. She will graduate this spring with two degrees: Photography and Fine Arts-a first for any student in the College of Arts and Humanities. |
